How to talk with someone you love about getting help
Practical, compassionate ways to start a conversation about substance use with a family member or friend, and how to look after yourself too.
For families
Loving someone with a substance use disorder is hard. These guides offer practical next steps, and a reminder that you need support too.
Families are often the first to notice that something is wrong, and the first to reach out for help. You can call our admissions team on someone else's behalf to ask questions and understand the options. With your loved one's permission, our programs also include family therapy and education.
